Are there particular traits that you look for in a candidate?

We’re always looking to find people who are passionate about renewable energy. Being proactive and able to communicate effectively is critical in any role at SCR.

Being positive, collaborative, and most importantly having a desire to learn and develop is key. We invest in our employees with training and development, and we’re committed to providing opportunities for upward mobility.

How can I prepare for my interview?

Review the job description and do research on the team and our company. Come ready to share some examples that demonstrate your strengths and any questions you have about the opportunity.

Help us get to know you by explaining how your prior experience and successes have prepared you for the role you’re pursuing at SCR.

What does the interview process look like?

We review all applications and typically reach out within a few days after submission. If selected to move forward, you’ll be contacted by a recruiter for an initial phone screening. Next steps include a series of video screens (or in-person interviews) with the hiring manager and select members of their team.

If you are selected for the role an offer is usually sent within a few days.

Can I apply for multiple open roles at the same time?

Yes, you absolutely can. But, we recommend you consider your skills, qualifications, and interests and limit your application to no more than 3 openings at a time.

After the initial phone screen, our recruiters can help line you up with the best opportunity for your skills and career goals.

Do I need to relocate to work at SCR?

It depends on the role! We offer many remote positions for staff and traveling technician’s. However, some of our positions require your physical presence at a project or our facilities. Check the job posting for location details and reach out to our recruiting team to confirm location requirements.

What are the training requirements for a technician role at SCR?

We prioritize safety and technical expertise and are committed to developing our team. All technician candidates are required to complete comprehensive GWO training, which includes Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART). Candidates who already possess these certifications are highly valued and strongly considered, as this prior knowledge significantly enhances their readiness for the role. Successfully completing these courses is a condition of employment, ensuring all team members meet our high standards for safety and technical skills.

What are the travel requirements for a technician role at SCR?

As a nationwide service provider, travel is a fundamental aspect of a technician’s role at Sky Climber Renewables. We offer a generous 6:1 rotation for our traveling technicians and strive to maintain flexibility regarding life events and family milestones. Candidates should be prepared for the travel demands associated with this role.
