Powered Personnel Access
An operator-controlled platform moves along the tower ladder, providing a powered alternative to repeated manual climbing.

Layered Safety Features
VAS combines personal and independent platform fall-arrest provisions with emergency stops, obstruction detection and load monitoring.

Operator-Priority Controls
On-unit, remote and down-tower controls support access operation. Rider-priority control keeps the technician in command of the system.

Equipment Transport Mode
A separate freight mode supports loads up to 132 lb (60 kg). A 55 lb (25 kg) recommended capacity option is also available. Personnel and freight ratings apply to their respective modes and must not be combined.

Is VAS a ladder-mounted system or a tower elevator?
VAS is a powered, ladder-mounted ride-on access system for one technician. It is installed along the tower ladder rather than being a conventional enclosed tower elevator.
Can VAS be installed in an existing tower?
Retrofit applications can be evaluated, along with new-tower installations. The ladder, platform openings, hatches, available power and other tower interfaces need to be reviewed for the proposed configuration.
Does VAS replace personal fall protection or training?
No. Operators must follow the system instructions, applicable fall-protection requirements and training requirements. Powered access does not remove the need for appropriate personal protective equipment, inspections or maintenance.
